In 2022, professional barware manufacturer Cocktail Kingdom collaborated with Spirits Educator and Author, Shannon Mustipher, to produce a tropical inspired drinkware line. To communicate this idea, I began to study the charmingly simple design of passport and postcard stamps. I created a custom typeface (a manipulated and roughened version of Trade Gothic) to be used across branding assets. The line’s packaging was inspired by matchbooks from the 1960s and use a restrained color palette. They have intentional registration “errors” to simulate the shifting that occurs when offset printing at small sizes.
